John's current role is to provide investment specialist support to BT Financial Group's workplace and direct Superannuation businesses, including involvement with internal and external working groups that drive BT’s and Advance's growth strategies for its many Superannuation offerings.
John joined Advance in 2002 and has held numerous roles including managing key relationships for Advance's internal, external, platform and institutional distribution channels.
Prior to joining Advance, John was the National Product & Marketing Manager, for one of Australia's largest Dealer Groups.
John has more than 25 years' industry experience, and holds a Diploma in Insurance (ANZIIF), is RG146 compliant, and has completed his MBA studies at Macquarie University (MGSM).
Lizzie was appointed into the role of Research Relationship Specialists having previously held the same role since joining BT Investment Solution in June 2016. She is responsible for the researcher review and reporting processes for BTIS Investment Strategies, liaising with investment managers, research houses, investment committees and the BTIS investment team.
Prior to joining BTIS, Lizzie was an Analyst for 4 years at BT Financial Group in the Investment Research & Governance (IRG) team where she was part of a team that has primary responsibility for monitoring and oversight of approximately $90bn in investments across BT’s Platform, Superannuation and proprietary Asset Management businesses. Prior to this Lizzie has also held roles in Stockbroking and Financial Planning firms.
Lizzie holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance & International Business) from the University of Technology Sydney.
Brett is responsible for managing adviser relationships in NSW and ACT. Brett joined Advance in 1997 and has worked in a number of roles within Client Services and the Distribution team. Brett spent two years as a financial planner and has more than 17 years' industry experience.
Brett's responsibilities include managing key account relationships, he holds an economics degree from Sydney University and has completed his diploma in financial planning.
Eric joined the BT Equities Team in 2008 and is responsible for managing the distribution of our BT Investment Solutions suite. This includes managed funds and structured products (such as warrants and protected loans) together with our margin lending and managed accounts offering. In his current role, Eric has accountability for the development and distribution of BT Investment Solutions, supporting internal and external intermediary markets including Financial Planning Dealer Groups (National and Boutique), independent financial advisers, stock broking referral partners and relationship banking segments.
In his first 5 years at Westpac, Eric managed and executed tailored equity solutions for wholesale clients of the bank including strategies for collars, covered call selling and protection.
Prior to joining BT Equities, Eric held various roles over 14 years at Merrill Lynch. He spent 6 years in Melbourne, Sydney and New York working as a fundamental equity research analyst and was head of Private client research in Melbourne for 2 years. He then managed the international margin lending and structured product offering and traded local and international markets for significant direct clients. Professional qualifications include Bachelor of Business, ADA1 Accreditation, RG146 and Series 7.
In his current role Travis has accountability for the distribution of Investment Solutions offerings in QLD [incorporating Managed Accounts, Margin Lending, Warrants, Advance Funds Management and Structured Investments] supporting the group's financial planning and Private Bank networks, as well as external IFA, Financial Planning Dealer Groups and Stock Broking referral partners.
Travis has a Bachelor of Economics, and post graduate qualifications in Financial Planning and is a Senior Associate FINSIA, with over 25 years’ experience in the finance industry.
Rob has been in the industry since 2004 and, during that time, has held a wide range of positions such as a Senior Financial Planner in both boutique and institutional dealer groups and a Senior Investment Analyst within the BT Advice Research & Strategy team (focussing on Australian equity based managed funds and Structured Investments). Rob has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, a Master of Business Administration in Economics, Strategy and Finance, a Juris Doctor, a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and is ADA 2 accredited.
