Victor Rodriguez, Head of Australian Fixed Income

Victor Rodriguez is the Head of Australian Fixed Income and part of the Credit & Sector Allocation Strategy team, the Australian Rates Strategy team, and the Inflation Strategy team. He is also a member of the Risk Oversight Group. Victor joined Aberdeen in 2009 following the acquisition of Credit Suisse Asset Management (Australia) Limited. Victor joined Credit Suisse Asset Management in 1995 as a member of the fixed income team and became a senior member of the team, specialising in credit strategies. Prior to this, Victor spent two years working with Westpac Financial Services as an investment analyst.

Victor graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Economics degree. He is also a Certified Practicing Accountant and holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

John Manning, Senior Investment Manager / Credit Analyst

John Manning is a Senior Investment Manager and Credit Analyst in the Credit Security Selection team. John joined Aberdeen in 2011 from Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was Director of Credit Strategy. Prior to this John spent two years as a senior credit analyst at Societe Generale. John began his career in 1986 at ANZ Bank where he spent over 20 years working primarily in credit analysis roles. John holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Justin Tyler, Senior Investment Manager

Justin Tyler is a Senior Investment Manager in the Inflation and Interest Rates teams, as well as the Risk Oversight Group. Justin joined Aberdeen in 2009 following the acquisition of Credit Suisse Asset Management (Australia) Limited. Previously, Justin was employed by RBC Capital Markets in Debt Capital Markets and investment banking roles. Prior to this, he spent almost ten years at Colonial First State Global Asset Management as an investment manager with responsibility for inflation linked and liability matching portfolios.

Justin graduated with BSc and BA degrees majoring in Pure Mathematics from the University of Sydney. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and is a CFA Charterholder.

Nick Bishop, Senior Investment Manager

Nick Bishop is a senior investment manager within the Credit & Sector Allocation team and the Security Selection Credit team.  Nick is also a member of the Risk Oversight Group. He joined Aberdeen in 2007, following Aberdeen’s acquisition of Deutsche Asset Management (Australia) Limited. Nick spent two years at Canada Life Insurance Co as a financial services consultant before joining Deutsche in 1998. He was a member of the UK economic team, helping to formulate and implement interest rate strategy before becoming a fund manager and credit analyst within the credit team.

Nick graduated from the University of Sheffield with a First Class Honours degree in Law and Criminology. He is also a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Institute.
